Hospitalized Monitoring and Treatment for Your Pet
At Minnehaha Animal Hospital we are able to provide extensive in-house treatment for ill pets,
often including hospitalization. Treatments will be determined by your veterinarian and may include
IV fluid therapy, antibiotics, nausea and pain control, blood pressure monitoring, warming pads
and same-day blood and urine testing with our in-house laboratory, and oxygen support with one-on-one
monitoring by our trained nursing staff.
If your pet needs intensive care, overnight or weekend care, we will help you choose the best
intensive care/emergency facility for your pet. Our skilled nursing staff can teach you how to
provide supportive care at home, including subcutaneous fluid therapy, oral medications and some
injectable medications such as insulin.

Minnehaha Animal Hospital provides diagnostic expertise, surgical and dental care for dogs and cats,
as well as wellness programs for pets of all ages. We have fully equipped surgical, dental and
radiological departments and extensive on-site laboratory and pharmacy facilities to keep your
best friend safe, healthy and comfortable. Along with Western medicine, Minnehaha Animal Hospital
can also provide acupuncture and chiropractic care to our patients.
