Meet Our Managers
Gina Faye Gomez - Practice Manager
Gina came to us in Feb. 2002 with four years experience in the veterinary field. Gina holds the position of Practice Manager, but don’t be surprised if you see her helping at the front desk or in appointments.
Gina currently lives in Mound with her husband, their son and four-legged children. Pancho a blue pitbull, and Mortisha a brindle pitbull.
When she is not playing with the dogs and chasing after her son, Gina enjoys having an evening out with her husband, going to dinner and seeing movies.
Bobbi Kittelsen - Lead Veterinary Nurse
Bobbi was a veterinary nurse for 3 years prior to joining our hospital in 2003. She is the proud owner of Lucy, a pit-bull boxer cross; Peanut, a Great Dane; and Tink, a Jack Russell/pug mix. Taking the lead nurse position in 2006, Bobbi is very happy here. Her main interests lie in emergency medicine and palliative care. Bobbi lives in Belle Plaine with her 3 children and fiancé. She enjoys taking walks with her dogs and children, going to the beach, reading and crocheting.
Sharon Birkeland - Compliance Director
Sharon has been a veterinary nurse since 1992, but she has been an animal nut forever. Aside from the usual lab work, Sharon is particularly interested in animal behavior and client education. She lives in the metro area with three dogs, three birds, one fish and one boyfriend. Sharon provides animal foster care whenever she can, and she loves babysitting small dogs and toy breeds. Everyone on the staff here knows that when any terrier or puppy comes into the clinic, it is his or her job to make sure Sharon knows about it and has a chance to say "hello" and smell the puppy breath! She enjoys creative writing and spending time with her dogs.
