Meet the Team
Dr. Joyce Tesarek, DVM and Owner
Dr. Tesarek, otherwise known as Dr. Joyce, became the owner of Minnehaha Veterinary Hospital in 1983. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Chemistry at Gustavus Adolphus College and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Joyce is an active volunteer in her neighborhood organization and church. She serves on the executive boards of the South Chicago Business Alliance and the Affiliated Emergency Veterinary Services, The MN Animal Health Foundation, The Animal Care Foundation and other social and ethnic organizations
Although primarily involved with hospital management, Dr. Joyce still performs select surgical and dental procedures. In her free time, she enjoys ethnic activities, travel, gardening and spending time with family and her many pets. Click here to see Dr. Joyce's pets.
