Meet Our Nurses
Cassie Young
Cassie’s love for animals brought her into the veterinary field in 2005 and she joined the Minnehaha Animal Hospital team in April of 2009 as a veterinary assistant. Cassie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the College of Saint Scholastica in 2007. She lives with four wonderful cats, Tippy, Dacky, Link and Serta. These little ones are always keeping her busy! She also has a chinchilla named Lily and is waiting patiently for the right time to get a dog. In her free time she enjoys camping, hiking, snowboarding, and spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys playing soccer and hockey, along with many other sports.
Kat Fox-Thompson
Kathleen (Kat) recently earned her degree in Veterinary Technology from the Minnesota School of Business and has been with MAH since March of 2007. She lives with her husband, daughter, two cats, and an English Setter named Hayden. In her free time Kat enjoys camping, rollerblading and reading. In the past several years Kat has held many interesting jobs including being a Peace Corps volunteer in Panama and a reptile caretaker at a nature center. She loves working with animals of all kinds and is excited to be working here at Minnehaha Animal Hospital.
