In-House X-Rays
At Minnehaha Animal Hospital we are able to perform and analyze in-house x-rays. We also have enlisted the services of a board certified radiologist when needed. Most animals don't need any sedation for routine films of the chest, abdomen, spine or certain joints. Some x-rays do require a light sedative or complete general anesthesia such as hip dysplasia screening, skull radiographs and contrast studies of the bladder. Those procedures require a scheduled drop off appointment to allow time for the procedure and to safely monitor your pet. Ultrasound diagnostics can also be scheduled.
